Internet Exchange Federation (IX-F)

The Internet Exchange Federation (IX-F) acts as a platform for affiliated Internet Exchange Point Association (IXPAs). We are working together to build a global IXP community and help the development of IXPs throughout the world.

Creation of IX-F

In November 2012, at the 21st Euro-IX forum in Stockholm a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) was signed between APIX (Asia Pacific Internet Exchange Association), LAC-IX (Latin America & Caribbean Internet Exchange Association) andEuro-IX (European Internet Exchange Association), to form the Internet Exchange Federation (IX-F).

Welcome to Af-IX

We are happy to announce that on the 7th of October 2014 (during the Nanog Meeting in Baltimore), the African Internet Exchange Association (Af-IX) signed the MoU to join the Internet Exchange Federation. The two Board representatives are Nishal Goburdhan (JINX) and Kyle Spencer (UIXP).
